About Anthony Breit, LCSW, PsyA
Anthony Breit, LCSW, PsyA, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified Psychoanalyst in private practice. He provides psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the emotional patterns that shape their lives.
Anthony received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work and completed his psychoanalytic training at the New Jersey Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis, where he now serves on the faculty. His work is informed by psychoanalytic and relational traditions, with experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and issues related to identity and self-esteem.
He views therapy as a collaborative process and works to create an environment where patients feel comfortable speaking openly and thinking more deeply about their experiences. His approach emphasizes curiosity, reflection, and the development of greater emotional awareness over time.
In addition to his private practice, Anthony serves as Clinic Director at the Neil Wilson Psychoanalytic Clinic. Alongside his clinical work, he is involved in the teaching and supervision of developing clinicians and remains committed to the continued growth of psychoanalytic practice and education.

Payment is due at the time of each session. Anthony accepts payment by check and major credit cards.
Anthony is considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. Many insurance policies offer reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services, and patients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to better understand their mental health benefits. When requested, Anthony can provide the documentation necessary for reimbursement and will work collaboratively with patients to help them access treatment in the most financially manageable way possible.
Finding the right therapeutic fit is an important part of the treatment process. In addition to his private practice, Anthony maintains professional relationships with a broad network of psychoanalysts, psychotherapists, psychoanalytic candidates, and master’s level clinicians. Referrals can be made based on an individual’s clinical needs, financial considerations, scheduling needs, or preferred treatment approach.
Questions regarding fees, insurance reimbursement, or referrals are welcome and can be discussed during an initial consultation.
